Titchwell Bird Sanctuary
Titchwell Bird Sanctuary is only 5 miles away, and the popular coastal resorts of Hunstanton, Wells-next-the-sea, and the expansive beaches of Holkham Bay are just a short drive from The Rickels.
The Royal home of Sandringham and the unique Lavender Farm at Heacham are also just a short drive away, whilst in the next village of Bircham there is a working mill where traditionally baked bread can be bought.
Burnham Thorpe, the birthplace of England's greatest naval hero, Lord Horatio Nelson is to be found along the coast road on the B1355.
Pensthorpe, the Wildlife Park and Bird Sanctuary can be found on the A1067, east of Fakenham. Here can be found one of the largest collections of waterfowl in the country.
Not to be missed is a visit to Thursford, on the A148 where there is a chance to re-live the age of steam engines and mechanical organs. Don't forget Thursford's out of this world Christmas experience! 
Langham Glass Factory is now located on the Norwich Road, Fakenham where glass blowing and engraving can be seen. Why not browse their shop.
5 miles from the park is the village of Burnham Market which has a unique selection of small shops providing a wide range of goods. It in known locally as Chelsea-on-Sea.
The historic market town of King's Lynn is 15 miles from Stanhoe and places of interest include the Jail House, the authentically restored Customs House, Guildhall, Museum with art gallery, where pictures hang by artists including A.J Munnings, Arnesby Brown, Walter Dexter & George Manby.
